Gut Analysis
The Gastrointestinal Microbial Assay Plus (GI-MAP) is an innovative clinical tool that measures gastrointestinal microbiota DNA from a single stool sample that is taken from the comfort of your own home. The GI-MAP was designed to detect microbes that may be disturbing normal microbial balance or contributing to illness as well as indicators of digestion, absorption, inflammation, and immune function. The GI-MAP accesses gut pathogens, parasites, opportunistic microbe overgrowths, h.pylori, and antibiotic resistant genes.
WHO'S IT FOR?
Almost every individual can benefit from a GI-MAP gut health assessment. Some are looking to achieve optimal health, while others have been chronically ill and frustrated without a diagnosis for years.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?
The GI-MAP test includes the lab sample test kit, complete with instructions on taking the test and a return label for shipping to the lab. This lab includes two post-results coaching sessions.

The first appointment is 60 minutes and includes a personalized nutrition, supplement and lifestyle plan as well as a thorough discussion of your lab findings.

The second appointment is 30 minutes and serves to help troubleshoot, provide support and make any additional recommendations for healing.
THE PROCESS?
Once the GI-MAP is ordered you will receive your test kit with all items necessary to collect your stool specimen. You will need to ship Monday-Friday so be aware of the timeliness of when you take your sample. Read all instructions in the kit and fill out necessary information on the requisition form. Turn around time is approximately 2 weeks from the time the sample is received at the lab. Once I have been notified of results I will contact you to set up your first results session.
